"Very poor meals"

We had high hopes for a nice meal. Sadly we were disappointed. Ordered the risotto and fish and chips. Waited quite a while but thought good food does take longer. Well the risotto was dry white rice with a few peas on top and a couple of pea shoots and cubed feta. Inedible so sent it back the fish and chips was slightly better. Except the chips were greasy and undercooked and the mushy peas tepid. Instead of the risotto my friend requested the chick pea starter so she could eat with me. Well even that was bad. It was tepid and had to be left uneaten. My friend had nothing to eat. She’s an easy to please lady but even this meal stretched her limits. It did slightly spoil our evening. The trainee manager apologised. He offered free deserts but we declined. Both the risotto and chick pea starter was taken off the bill. We were told they have a new kitchen team and menu. But I don’t think that excuses the food served and it’s never cheap in the swan. Come on you people in the kitchen. Up your game and produce decent food. It’s not even a difficult menu. So fellow diners be prepared for disappointment.
