The Swan Hotel, Stafford

"Staff require better training in regard to guests using assistance dogs."

I had stated on booking confirmation that one member of the party would be using an assistance dog, however on arrival the host/server was most insistent that no dogs were allowed in the restaurant. A young man who I think may have been the duty manager did intervene and showed us to our table. This was embarrassing for my son who was accompanied by the dog and also for the member of staff who was presenting the wrong information.
That said the food was excellent and the young man in question who served us was polite, apologetic and attentive.
