"Afternoon tea was acceptable "

Afternoon tea consisted of some small finger sandwiches, a scone and some small jelly like puddings on biscuits. I found it very expensive for what it was. You had to pay for the whole afternoon tea before booking, I am assuming this is because others have also not been happy and possibly not paid so they are wanting to ensure they get full payment beforehand. Sandwiches were nice but incredibly small, literally about the size of your finger! Scone was nice but we were very disappointed with the selection of ‘cakes’. There were coffee macaroons but everything else was of a weird jelly consistency on a biscuit. I wouldn’t class this as a cake. Clearly just the cheaper option. I felt like as soon as the afternoon tea was brought over, we were then left to it. Nobody came over to offer us more tea, see if everything was alright etc and once again, I am assuming this is because they already received payment so no longer needed to bother. Quite disappointing for what looked like a decent establishment. I won’t be returning. There are other places where the service is much better and the food is of higher quality with better service.
