The Swan Hotel, Wells

"Friday lunch"

At the last minute we decided to go out for lunch. After a short deliberation we chose The Swan. To our delight we were able to book on line at 10.00 am for a 1.00 pm reservation, very unusual. Website was incredibly easy to book.
We arrived on time and were able to select our table. Seats were very comfortable. Ambiance was not good as we were the only ones dining, however this did not bother us and did not detract from the experience.
Service was excellent and well paced. Both our starters and mains were superb in presentation, quantity and taste. The bill was eased with a 25% voucher although we felt a full bill was acceptable. .
