"Disappointing"

After a great roast last month, a friend and I purposely rebooked the hotel for a repeat lunch for my birthday meal, but we were really disappointed this time around. Had to send my friend’s roast lamb back as just fatty scraps served up, no proper meat slices. Changed her order to beef instead but it wasn’t forthcoming, waited more than 10 mins, by which time my meal was almost cold and I had to eat it alone. My slice of beef was tough and meals were distinctively smaller than on our previous visit, with no cauliflower cheese either and potatoes were undercooked. Staff did finally agree a discount but it was a hugely disappointing experience all round. We’d pre-booked too.
