"Disappointing"

I started well with the asparagus and egg, though the asparagus could have been regarded as a bit 'al dente' for some. My wife was not impressed with the salmon fish cake, but thought the chicken dish main was excellent. My sea bass with penne was awful. The pasta was well past al dente into soggy and the fish almost tasteless. The table was booked for, and we arrived at 7.30, with the starters turning up about 8.15. Your excellent waiter apologised for this and offered complementary puddings as compensation. This was appreciated, especially as we had seen you had a tour group in and imagined the kitchen was busy. But you knew that when seating us?
