The Swan Hotel, Wells

"Friendly, helpful staff and a superb location"

I am a repeat visitor to the Swan Hotel and never disappointed, the staff are very friendly and always endeavor to make you very welcome and quick to sort any problems.
The hotel is clean and tidy, a little quirky but then it is an old building but still adequately functional, only down side is no lift for those who cannot manage stairs.
There is a comfy seating area with a warming fire for the colder months and outside seating facing the Cathedral as well as a bar area and restaurant and separate events rooms with its own bar.
The food is good and value for money, the coffee is very nice served with a few maltesers, a nice touch.
The car park has sufficient parking and you are usually welcome to leave car parked if you arrive early.
It is a great location, central to the main City and shops and twice weekly market (Wednesday and Saturday) and overlooking the wonderful Cathedral.
Wells is a great place to visit , steeped in history, for architecture, shopping and many activities indoors and out, there are regular events in the Cathedral as well as other activities/walks in and around Wells, especially at the Bishops Palace where there are lovely gardens to explore.
