"Disappointed"
We booked our table for 4 for 8.15pm and arrived on time after a carol service in Wells Cathedral. We all decided to order the SMOKED SALMON, prawns, ADVACADO TIAN. We were served something which looked vagley like a prawn cocktail with a few shredded pieces of fresh salmon, a minute portion of small prawns, green leaves and we think sliced corgette but not sure, served with a dressing on a plate. On critising the look of the 'tian' which I make at home and is a pyramid/round shape filled with prawns, tomato and advacado wrapped in smoked salmon slices we were told that the salmon was shredded and the advacado was a 'blob' on the top. Even with my glasses on I could not make this out! My husband must have had the scraping round the bowl as his plate had very little substence whatsoever. I know you have to make money on what is served but I could have made a top class meal for the £44 this part of the meal cost with fresh, tasty and ample food to enjoy.
